Jobeless in July, III

I've run out of funds. Time to collect some dues, then make some for myself. Hihi.

I am your future creditor debtor. You know who you are. Nyaha.

Haven't received yet my back pay from Previous Employer because I'm too lazy to work on my clearance. Nuninu.

Bored bumbum me. Savor the no-stress state while it lasts. So what keep me "busy" these days?

Warwick Avenue

When I get to Warwick Avenue, meet me by the entrance of the tube. We can talk things over a little time. Promise me you won't step out of line.

When I get to Warwick Avenue, please draw the past and be true. Don’t think we’re okay just because I’m here. You hurt me bad, but I won't shed a tear.

When I get to Warwick Avenue, we’ll spend an hour but no more than two. Our only chance to speak once more. I showed you the answers, now here’s the door.

When I get to Warwick Avenue, I’ll tell you that we’re through.

All the days spent together, I wished for better, but I didn’t want the train to come. Now it’s departed, I’m broken-hearted, seems like we never started. All those days spent together when I wished for better, and I didn’t want the train to come.

I’m leaving you for the last time. You think you’re loving, but you don’t love me. I’ve been confused and out of my mind lately. You think you’re loving, but I want to be free. You’ve hurt me...

Delayed Devotion

It seems you want to give me a lifetime of security. Down on your dying knees, I watch you beg, I watch you plead. But your words come much too late. My love for you has turned to hate because you've taken too much time to show me that you're mine.

You try to convince me about the possibilities, but I know that all your poetry just comes from insecurity. Because your actions mean nothing no more when it's what I've been waiting for. Because you've taken too much time to show me that you're mine.

You played me for a fool for too long. Blinded by your lies, I never saw your wrong. I'm no longer under your spell. Hear it in a song: You can go to hell!

When I drop you, boy, you'll need another toy, one that won't stand up for herself. When I knock you down, you'll need another town where somebody's going to talk to you. You just let me wait and now it's too late for your delayed, delayed devotion...

Jobless in July, II

My groin muscles are pleasantly sore. My first time happened yesterday. Ice-skating, you know. I fumbled but I managed not to fall.

Mulala

Please delete my cellphone number in your phonebooks. I got snatched in the MRT. Along with my phone stolen was my wallet, inside it my keys, some cash, my ATM card, and my SM Advantage Card! Good thing my SM Card was still the temporary one, but I grieve for all the purchase points I'd have to forgo for the
meantime. Haha.

This happened while I was on my way for the final interview. Imagine my horror! The embarrassment, the stress, the trauma! I apologize to man
ong tsuper for my free-riding. I apologize to Katty as well for the inconvenience of lending cash to me. I am sorry and I thank you. Tear.

As for the interview, in spite of all that had happened, I w
as more calm and confident. I will know the result within two weeks. But how they will contact me? Hmm.

Tukneneng

Prospect Employer did it again: setting false expectations. The second interview, as it turned out, wasn't the final one. Oh well, the gall of me to complain when I'm the one so desperate to get in the company. Anyway...

I was waiting inside a tiny room for the interviewing panel of three. Only two came in. One was this lady who seemed to be a UP graduate (she understood the shit I was blabbing about my shifting from BAA to BA) and the other one, a male shengwa, who sounded like an ex-pat (whom I later found out is Chinese and is the site director). All was going smoothly when in the mid part I had a me-and-my-big-mouth moment: I mentioned that I didn't pass the online assessment. The conversation halted and they asked for a quick moment. They skimmed through their papers (probably my profile) while I, with my head slumped and my eyes glued on my clammy palms, thought, "Way to go, idiot. You just ruined your chance." After a minute that seemed to be eternity, they apologized for the confusion and they resumed asking questions. I am one lucky bitch!

I stayed in the lobby after the interview to wait for Katty. We had a short chat. I looked at my cellphone: two missed calls from the HR contact person. I requested the receptionist to have her (HR contact person) on the phone. She scheduled my third, and hopefully the final (as she confirmed), on Tuesday. Eez deez reelee eet?

Deez Eez Eet

What do you know, I passed the first interview. Unbelievable. This would be the farthest that I'd go so I'm taking now the opportunity to brag about it even before I make a fool out myself on Friday. Dandandandan, it's my final (panel, nyay) interview on Friday. Last chance, now or never.

Gated

Prospect Employer called and scheduled an interview. *Gasps* I only have two days to prepare. *Breaks out* Twelve months? It has been barely three months; why did they have to set false expectations? Being caught off-guard on something as significant as this can be so frustrating. Blame's on me I admit, but still! It's like leafing through Vogue if you know what I mean. (Lame, bleh.) I still have unfinished business, "Um, how shall I put this?" If you know what I mean. :(

Stimulate My Brain

Gray is my new favorite color. It suits the general atmosphere of my life right now: boredom.

I'm so bored I harbor delusions of being in love and, worse, of somebody falling in love with me. I feel like an ad for Centrum. I want to be com
plete (God as my Last Resort). I want to do this and that, but I'm broke; I want to have this and that, but I'm broke. Ah, the pursuit of worldly and material things, stuffing for the void expanding within.

To save myself from shiteous ponderings, I read
. In my spare time, I read Atkinson & Hilgard's Introduction to Psychology which isn't bad at all. If I had not taken up Business, I would have studied Psychology. It's liberating to understand the workings of a disturbed mind, especially mine. I always fancied myself possessing superior intrapersonal intelligence. (I said "intrapersonal", not "interpersonal".)

Jessica Zafra's books I recently bought I'm done consuming cover-to-cover. Mankiw's Macroeconomics
I dare not pick up-- not just yet. (It's Vigile's copy, heehee.) On my next trip to National I'll scour for Minna no Nihongo with instructions in English. It'll be my fifth attempt to self-study Japanese. (Is "self-study" a verb?)
